WHO we are

Jess is a certified dog behavior consultant (via CCPDT) who comes with a diverse background in supporting the well being of animals and the people who love, care for, and need them.

Jess has experience serving clients with a wide range of needs—from puppy manners, to tricks for fun, to preparing for a move or special event, to complex cases requiring ongoing collaboration with veterinary medical and veterinary behavior teams.

Through the years, Jess has held an array of volunteer and professional roles in shelter behavior, shelter leadership, private training + behavior consulting, mentorship to new trainers, animal disaster response, veterinary medical care, wildlife rehab, rescues, pet education for the community, and more.

Jess is originally from San Diego, CA and now lives in the Hudson Valley with her little old lady, Anthem, and her partner who she is enjoying exploring and getting to know beautiful New York with.

Anthem is Jess’ tiny Pit Bull (25lbs tiny). She loves road trips, adventures in nature, learning, coffee shop dates, sharing all the best snacks, her human and non-human besties, and being equal parts athlete and expert level cuddler.

Anthem has dabbled in lots of sports, knows plenty of fun tricks, and has been to 27 states.

Anthem is also an experienced helper dog! You might meet her if your dog could benefit from something she can support your learning with.
